all the crazy work of the last few weeks did get finished in time and last Thursday evening it happened: we rolled off to Berlin, baby, bags and paintings in the car. Spending the night at my mum's we took off again at 5o'clock on Friday morning and arrived in the Zwinglikirche at 9. Mitja and I set everything up and it turned out beautifully! The location was beautiful and seeing my Goddesses there was such a joy!
I had also planned to set up a stall but somehow it turned out to be more of an altar :-) I had not brought an altar cloth (since I was thinking along the lines of "stall") but I found some purple blankets in the back of the church and as purple is the colour of the Lady of Avalon I thought I must be supposed to be using them. I also lit a candle in Her name and burnt some incence and the energy became very very beautiful. One woman said to me how very happy it made her seeing Goddess paintings in a church and how important it was that they were there.
I really enjoyed exhibiting my Goddess art work. Some of the people coming in were very interested in the Goddess and knew a lot already, and some had never heard of Her before and were very curious. I loved chatting with all of them!
When I nursed Lilith she suddenly pulled her head away as she sometimes does and milk spilled all over the floor in a thin but strong little fountain. I think in this way the church has now officially been blessed by the Lady!
I felt very blessed to have such a strong supportive man by my side. Mitja helped me so much at the weekend. I am in deep gratitude to the Lady for my family. Here are some photos from the exhibition. Click on the thumbnails to view a larger image.
